Things I’m Loving {November Edition}

It’s Fall Break!!! Well, for me it is.  My apologies to those who don’t have a fall break :( I hope that all of you who are celebrating Thanksgiving (or not) this week have a marvelous week though! I love that it’s the holiday season but I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by!!

It’s been a while since I’ve told you all what I’m loving lately, so how about I share some of those things now?

I’ve really been getting back into some Marianne Williamson classics like A Return to Love.

I’ve already read this but some recent events in my life have brought me back to this book and I’m getting so much out of it this time around that I just missed before.  Isn’t it funny how we can read things at different times and the messages we pick up on are so different? Life is kind of beautiful that way.

NARS Orgasm Illuminator: After hearing for years about how great the NARS orgasm blush is, I decided I wanted to try this illuminator instead of relying only on my usual powder blush.  It’s sheer but adds enough color (like you just did something naughty or were out in the cold ;))  I use some of my Benefit Sugarbomb powder on top of it and I’ve got that beautiful, rosy glow going on for the whole day.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer: This. Is. Liquid. Gold.   I bought this after using Sephora’s new machine that matches your skin tone to various shades of products in the store. It matches my skin tone PERFECTLY.  It glides on so smoothly, blends effortlessly, keeps my skin moisturized, glowing, but not looking greasy.  There is literally nothing else I could ask for in a tinted moisturizer and without a doubt I’d say it’s the best one I’ve ever tried.

Tarte Clean State Poreless Primer: I really wanted a new primer that would help mitigate some redness I had due to a hormonal breakout, and this was recommended for me.  The texture is silky smooth, it helps with the redness, and it does a good job of keeping my makeup on all day.  I love it!

Sweet Leaf Liquid Stevia Sweet Drops: A great alternative to stevia packets, which always make me feel like I’m wasting a lot of paper.  I’ve been adding these drops to my nightly tea, chocolate cherry brownie muffins, and anything else that needs some sweetening.

Vanilla Spice Perfect Energy Tea: (sorry it’s blurry in the picture!) This is by far one of my favorite teas and I use as a coffee alternative in the evenings when I need a little something to keep me going through that last hour or two of studying.  Works like a charm :) It’s a great balance between sweet and slightly spicy and goes well with the Sweet Drops!

…and this is why I showed you the back of that mug…because the front looks like this…

I got it when I spent a weekend at the Stanley this summer (where Stephen King wrote The Shining) :)

Leonie Dawson’s Work: I joined what used to be the Goddess Circle and is now the Amazing Business & Life Academy back in 2012.  I recently just dove back into a lot of the e-courses that Leonie has to offer (especially the Creative Goddess course) and have been re-reading a lot of her old posts.  Something about how freely she writes and her confidence in her life and business is something I really admire and also it really inspires me.  Her work was a big help to me when I was in the early stages of recovery and finishing my first degree.

I’ve been adding some things to my Amazing 2013 year workbook because there are still some things left to accomplish before the year is over…big things…namely getting close to finally launching my business that I’ve been working on since May of 2012!!! Stay tuned for details :) [note: these are affiliate links--you absolutely do not have to use mine, but do check out her work. I find it very inspiring and it's helped me achieve a lot of personal goals!!]

Pure Barre: Oh Pure Barre how do I love thee? Let me count the ways…

Pure Barre is what clears my mind, strengthens my body, and rejuvenates my soul.  I can’t get enough of it and it’s what keeps me level-headed and happy.  When I make it through a challenging pose, I love the feeling of accomplishment I get.  Nothing beats that post-PB high!

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

What are you loving lately?

I’m still yet to try flavoured stevia but whenever I see it on someones blog it always makes me think I need to try it :)

That tea sounds great too as does the Nars Illuminator.

I am loving my Kindle, it has made me read so much more than I used to since I got it. As always I am loving my Chai Lattes. I am also loving that the weather here is finally showing signs of getting warmer.

I hope you enjoy your break :D

It took me a while to hop on the stevia train but I’m glad I did! It’s nice to have another option to sweeten things! I’ve really been considering getting a kindle or a tablet. I bet you’re excited for summer! Thank you–my break has been great so far!

All great things! I have been loving getting busy in the kitchen! Nothing relieves my stress like a few solid hours of kitchen time. Though this weekend was dominated by my blog redesign which basically took over my life. I probably allowed it to stress me out more than I should but attempting to be more relaxed about it now!

Ah so that must be why I couldn’t get to your site the other day! I can’t wait to see the new design! I’m glad you had a chance to decompress in the kitchen :) I’m sure we’ll all benefit from it!

I’m going to have to find that book. I’m looking at all your links now. I absolutely love how happy and just your personality I get through your writing. You talk about how free she write and that’s how I would describe your writing. Free, nice, loving person. So glad I found your blog!
